Youth Update Autumn 07

Here we go with our regular update on the comings, goings and happenings of our young people. As always there's plenty to report:

During half term we were able to run three morning or afternoon children's events in the Methodist Churches at Harpur Hill, Fairfield and Peak Dale. We had great fun as you can see from the photos seen at this link

The Brownies continue to have a very varied programme which is enjoyed by all as do the Guides and it was the guides enrolment so we'll be able to tell you how many were enrolled in a few days time. Rainbows were quite late in starting back this year after the summer break but we are pleased that another 3 girls have enrolled.

The Sun Club continues to weekly between 11am and 12noon and has now spilt into two groups, pre school and those at school. Each week we have a time of news where each of the children can share what has happened to them during the week. We enjoy some snacks, here more stories from the Bible and finish of with a craft work. We all have a great time. Stepping Stones & 7 Up were busy preparing for All Age Worship to do with harvest. They made some harvest baskets and harvest wreaths which looked great. Some are still on display.

A few weeks ago, we had a great evening on healthy eating. We made fruit kebabs and mixed some non alcoholic fruit cocktails.
